Where do we begin - Planning session (plotting our course)

Well, all our coaching programmes begin with a detailed planning session, Plotting our Course. We spend time with each individual discussing the outcomes they want for themselves and for their business. It is an excellent opportunity to stand back, reflect and really consider what their vision, hopes and desires are.

3-way meeting

Including the coachee and the line manager at an initial meeting is a powerful way of ensuring full understanding of the challenges being faced, and how overcoming them will impact on the wider business. This conversation is open, honest and realistic. It helps to ensure both the participant and stakeholders are clear on the overall objectives of the coaching programme and alignment with business objectives.

Focused coaching sessions

This is where the hard work is done……by you! We will spend, on average, 6-9 sessions working towards your specific desired outcomes. Our meetings will usually last around 1.5 hours and can be face to face or via skype connections, whatever will work best. If you prefer to spend a session or 2 outside of the workplace, we are happy to arrange a different venue – or even a walk in the countryside. Whatever helps you to concentrate and focus, we will accommodate.

For the full programme only

Halfway through our coaching programme we will undertake a further 3-way meeting. This provides the opportunity for the coachee to report progress and achievements to their line manager who will also be encouraged to give their perspective. This will be a discussion around performance against the coaching objectives agreed at the earlier contracting stage.

At the end of the coaching sessions, we arrange a final 3-way meeting, a conversation focused on the outcomes. The coachee can use this time to reflect and review the successes from their programme and explain what impact this has had (and is still having) on their business objectives. We include a discussion around the measures of success you identified at the start of the programme. We look closely at achievement against your stated business objectives and review progress. We assess how this has helped you demonstrate leadership capability. To ensure continues success we conclude with a sustainability plan. It is important to be clear about how the gains made can become the norm and the way you continue to work in the future.

And finally...

All coaching programmes are followed up with a review meeting held 3-4 months after programme completion. The review focuses on the value to the business and to them personally and professionally. During this meeting we look at the ways in which the coaching has impacted the business since its completion. We take time to look at the coachee’s sustainability plan and review how well they are managing this. We ask ‘has the coaching made a significant and lasting difference?’ We focus on the successes and refocus on any areas that might have been overlooked.
